My previous foray in syncing my data between windows and linux
was a learning experience. I’m taking a second stab at it using
slightly different tools as you will see. Now i’ll be able to
initiate the backup from the client side which is what i prefer.
Also i’m more comfortable with the tools being used and was able
to set it up much faster than the previous way.

PC running Ubuntu 5.10
PC running Windows XP SP2

Windows - cygwin, rsync, ssh
Fedora - rsync, ssh
